Very nice. I really like the idea of using a wiki for the information. I
may steal that idea.

Subject: [Diaspora] jacob, my first cluster

Hello,

last week I refereed my first Diaspora session: cluster and character
creation. I have to say we had a really good time, especially with
cluster creation, we were all surprised of how some random numbers could
generate a realistic and consistent cluster. Character creation was a
bit more difficult, mostly because (I think) I failed to convey the
actual game-play purpose of aspects -- I'm the only one with the book
and no one has played FATE before.

Anyway, I put everything online here:
http://jacobcluster.wikispaces.com/

(it's still a bit in-flux, in that I asked my players to add and amend,
but the substance is there).
As you can see, my players have a penchant for cheesy space opera
(jungle planets with shamans, prison planets, space pirates...), which
means that I will have to struggle to keep the science hardish without
frustrating them :-)

The first gameplay session is going to be next week... it will open on
Oz, with the three main characters planning their way out (the campaign
aspect is "escape from Oz"). I have no idea how they can make it, I hope
they are more clever than me, and I have no idea how much I should
prepare in advance, and how much just make up as we go (or have them
make it up with manoeuvres, I guess). Anyway, both good advices and
words of encouragement are well accepted! :-D

cheers
alb
