Hey David!

Thanks for the suggestions.  Someone else on my blog suggested a
political/diplomacy stat, and I think you and they are on the right
track.  Right now I'm looking at Military, Economic, and Diplomacy for
the House stats, but Morale looks really, really interesting as well -
you can come up with a lot of interesting stories, for both RP and
wargaming, using that as a stat!

Also thanks for reminding me to look through my copy of HeroQuest for
more ideas about how to think about conflicts at the community level!
