Latest annotated Azure Cluster writeup at <http://www.pensee.com/dunham/diaspora/episodeA5.html>. This was our first use of the ship combat rules. Also I was trying to make sure the compels were plot complications. (Actually, there were also some attempts to compel the ship's "Steers Like a Cow" to prevent moving but they bought it off each time.)
It was technically impossible to escape, since the typical V-shift is 2, and it takes 3 to leave [p. 126]. I allowed them to overburn to move 3 on their last turn.
The Overburn rules [p. 70] seemed poorly integrated into ship combat -- technically they could have overburned right away and suffered no penalty, just maxing out of the track.
(Not that I remembered you were supposed to incur heat stress from *any* burn. Oops. So maybe compelling non-movement is a bad idea, since it lets them cool.)
